Wow me, Wednesday!

Wedding dinner served by the bride and groom.
WOW.

Lots of friends are bemoaning the terrible news all over their Facebook feeds'.. I often feel the same way- but since social media is such a blessing so I'm not one of those who take feed fasts; rather, I'm trying to be the change.

So, this Wednesday, I'm wow'd by these newlyweds. Rather than going all bridezilla like I did a few years back about tiny cheeseburgers, these folks shared a meal with 4,000 Syrian refugees.

I remember spending a YEAR planning my wedding- a whole year!!! Food tastings, dresses ordered on ebay from China. STRESSING over the favors and center pieces (major kudos to my friend Shannon, Bottle Pop Party owner, who made them as my wedding gift!) Shoes that were too tight, the possibility of snow during a January wedding- it made me NUTS!!

Now, I'm not one for regretting the past- but I wonder- what if my groom and I focused even a little of our time, energy, and money from our wedding a more like these fine Turks did?

What a great story.
