First, I'd like to thank the Academy...

Syke! Eff, the Academy, I'm thanking my homies first.

I used to have a general rule about life- bring your camera everywhere you go because the one time you don't, something fun will happen. And guess what, pals? I didn't and it did.

Up until last year, I had gotten through 29 years without a single party thrown by someone else in my honor. All of my major life events had been overshadowed or shared by something or someone else- communion shared with sister's confirmation, 8th grade graduation was shared with sister's high school, I got high school graduation all to myself (along with a little case of depression so I wasn't really happy about it), had to share college with sister again, and my birthday was lost to the summer every year, and most recently, after a non-existent and very lengthy engagements all of a sudden not one but TWO family members thought they should pick a date and real quick, get married first.

I don't like keeping score but it's always been hard NOT TO since I've felt like I've been playing second fiddle in someone else's ensemble.

Enter my buds. Twice, in about two years, my friends have surprised me. TWICE.

Thank God, too. Therapy is expensive.

Oh, yea, long digression, since I forgot my camera, you'll have to check out the whole shin-dig here:

Proof of the Best Buds in the World.

My friends are awesome. Thanks, guys.
