I was laying in bed working on a job mantra- putting out into the Universe that I wanted a job that utilized my degree (either Master of Science in Leadership or BA in English,) had a flexible schedule and offered great perks. (I know...I want it all.)
So guess what- Examiner.com emailed me yesterday and offered me a chance to be the Philadelphia Fitness Contributer. Whooo-hooo, right?
Before I went and bought myself the celebratory $200 bottle of champagne to share with the man I love I turned to my dear friend, Google to see what others had to say about it. I'd be asked to write 3-4 articles a week on the topic, make it appeal to local readers and in return, I'd be compensated via Paypal. Super, right? So each of these people commented that they make about $.03-$.07 per article and write about 100ish articles a month- but the benefits far outweigh the pay.
I see myself calling local gyms, eateries, spas, wellness centers (I want to focus on more than just physical fitness) getting a cheap or free service or interviewing peeps via phone or email to help fund my candy and soda escapades.
The best part? I can use this to tout readers to check out yogaVlog or whatever else I want. It will work - and turn into something...I'm just not sure what yet.
Cheer's to el Interneto!
